![]() I encourage you to check out each aspect of the studio, as I had a great (and differing) experience with each one! It was so nice to be driven around with friends, chatting and drinking, while hitting local joints and getting the low down from our guide. There were a few who were not up for the hot chicken, and exceptions were made on the fly when ordering the food. Each stopped was pre-arranged, so no ordering or looking at a menu it was all taken care of. We brought beer to drink in between stops, and were shuttled to Bolton's Chicken (for authentic hot chicken), Three Crow Bar (for Bushwhackers) I Dream of Weenie (a sampling of hotdogs), Martin's BBQ (short ribs, spare ribs, & briscuit), the Greenbriar Distillery (a tour and a tasting), and finally Blackstone Brewery (for pretzels and a sampler flight). We had a group of 8 (10 is max I think) in his roomy passenger van and headed to 6 stops throughout downtown/east nashville. You call ahead and set up a time, and meet at a designated location (downtown farmer's market for us). The husband of the family runs food tours around town. The pizza finished, and we all sat around talking/eating and having a good time. As the pizza baked, we went back to our paintings to finish up. No cooking knowledge is needed, as the daughter walked you through how to chop/cut/construct the pizza from start to finish. ![]() I went on pizza night, and we handmade pizzas (raw dough from wholefoods was made, but we chopped our ingredients). The daughter went to culinary school and she handles the cooking portion. With this, you paint a small picture (with instructions from the wife/mother), while taking a break and working on your meal. I'm not overly artistic, but the instruction is sound and the paintings are fun (Nashville skyline, holiday themed, sunsets, etc). The space is large enough to fit 20 or so people, and the variety of paintings was a plus to me. You will paint along with friends/family/coworkers/strangers while drinking and listening to the instructor, with good music in the background. You can check the calendar, choose a night that has a painting you enjoy, and show up with your beverage of choice. The wife/mother of the family handles this aspect of the class (with assistance from her daughter). Option 1 is your typical BYOB painting class. You have a few options at Dabble, which is a family owned business run by a husband, wife, and daughter team). I've visited Dabble 3-4 times now, and had great experiences each time.
